Kauai All Angels Jazz Festival

St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church announces an extraordinary lineup for the largest jazz festival on Kauai. The Fourth Annual All Angels Jazz Festival will be February 5 – 7, 2010.

February 5
Starts at 7:00 pm
Features Grammy-winning guitarist Jeff Peterson from Honolulu with acclaimed vocalist Chrysta Bell from Los Angeles. Tickets are $30 advance and $35 at the door and are available at the church or online at www.stmichaels-kauai.org.

Feb 6th
Starts at 7:00 pm
Features Hawaii jazz diva Azure McCall from the Big Island and on flute, saxophone, and vocals Horace Alexander Young from Washington state. Special guests for both concerts include percussionist Abe Lagrimas, Jr., keyboardist Paul English, bass player Dean Taba and many others. February 7th
Starts at 8:00 am and 10:30 am
The standing-room only Jazz Masses will offer “A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson,” celebrating the 50th anniversary of her epic set at the Newport Jazz Festival in the late 1950’s. The Jazz Masses feature a 24-voice choir of Kauai’s best singers, an all-star jazz band, and a stellar group of top female vocalists. The Jazz Masses are free and open to the public.
