New iPod touch

0909ipodtouchApple announces the new iPod touch – an ipod, pocket computer, and portable game player all in one.

Watch your movies and TV shows. Listen to your favorite tunes with room for up to 14,000 songs and up to 30 hours of audio playback time. Genius Mixes automatically searches your library and finds songs that sound great together. Voice Control allows you to tell iPod touch to play songs from a specific playlist or artist. A Wi-Fi connection and a tap on the iTunes icon are all it takes to get instant access to millions of songs and thousands of movies and TV shows.

Most of what you do online with a computer can easily be done on iPod touch. Built-in Wi-Fi means you can check your favorite blogs, write an email with a photo attached, or find out how to get to that new restaurant. When you think about it, iPod touch is a computer in your pocket. The new iPod touch is up to 50 percent faster than the previous-generation iPod touch. Typing on iPod touch is easy with its intelligent keyboard that predicts and suggests words as you type. If you’re connected to a wireless network, you can find your location and get a list of turn-by-turn directions. Social Networking is easy on Facebook or Twitter because they are just a tap away.

Games for iPod touch are made to take advantage of its built-in technologies such as the accelerometer, Multi-Touch, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The result is truly immersive gameplay – whether you’re playing alone or with others in multiplayer mode. The new iPod touch features improved performance so games launch faster, and you experience richer, more lifelike textures and detail.

A new feature of iPod touch makes finding cool new apps even easier. Genius for apps works just like Genius for your music. Tap the Genius icon and get recommendations for apps that you might like based on those you already downloaded.

Multiply the fun by playing with your friends over Wi-Fi – whether they’re two cubicles or two continents away. The beauty of the accelerometer comes into play when you’re in racing games and your entire iPod becomes the steering wheel. What also sets iPod touch apart from traditional handheld gaming devices is its Multi-Touch interface. It means you’re not just playing a game, you’re interacting with the game.
